Decluttering your space and mind.

After a busy day of work, I often just want to make some dinner and relax on the couch. Anyone else? Raise your emoji hand please ;)

More times than not (and I hate to admit) my space is not as organized as I’d like. Sometimes I have laundry on the couch, other times my blender from my smoothie - while rinsed - is not put away and other times my “WFH desk”, which is currently my dining room table, is filled with papers.

It’s funny (is it?) - all day at work I’m organizing my to do lists and project managing multiple projects at once and all of my attention goes there. Then I come home to a space that needs organization. Nope. Not any more. My mind does not want to organize anymore.

If you’re still with me, I’m assuming this resonates with you. So what do we do? We clean friends - just for a little bit. I cleaned before I went to work the other day and it felt so therapeutic to cross one thing off my list and then even better to come home to something a bit more organized.Additionally, I started cleaning and then adding a little more decor here and there and my goodness do I feel like a new woman.

If my act of cleaning doesn’t help, did you know that cleaning your environment gives you a sense of control and actually frees your mind to think about other things? YEP! Decluttering your space can clear mental and physical space. So let’s get it done. Let’s spend 10 minutes each night or morning tidying up a little bit.

So clean for aesthetic reasons, yes, but mostly for your health and well-being. Be well xx
