I Make Money Moves

Let’s talk money! I’m a big saver - I always have been. I bought a house by myself at 25 years old because I wanted to invest (that was about 5 years ago). We can talk tips to buy or maintain a home when you have no idea what you’re doing at a later date J

For now, need some tips to help you save? Need to make extra dough? Here are a few things I do to keep me on top of my dolla dolla bills yo. (yes, I can do this all day).

Pay yourself first. No matter how much you’re making, you can put money to the side. Whether it’s 5 or 100 dollars do what you can to put something aside as soon as you get every paycheck.

In a similar vein, most banks will let you schedule recurring transfers. So on the first of the month and in the middle of the month, my bank will transfer X dollars from my checking to my savings.

Don’t want your money sitting in the bank? Try investing apps like stash and robinhood! If you’re a beginner, you can start with some ETFs and learn how to use the apps. You don’t need to be aggressive by any means. Do your research before moving forward with a particular stock. You need to know how much you’re willing to risk before you make that move. Happy to do another post on what I know and do if that’s of interest!

Side hustle it up!! I use poshmark and thred up - easy ways to make some money on the side, and clean up. Makes me feel good! You can use that money or save that! Your call

Ratuken!! Get paid to shop. Now I’m not advising you to shop just to get paid, bc well that’s counterintuitive, but if you need to shop, you should definitely consider getting use to it. You can integrate it into your browser and it’s easy and simple.
