Well and Gray Simple Essentials
Feeling busy and don’t have time to go to the gym or prepare a healthy meal? Don’t know where to start with all the healthy trends that are out there? Getting healthy and living well does not have to be overwhelming. There are small things you can do to get started, and it’s important to remember that you need to do what works best for you – at your own pace. Here are a few simple things I do to try and incorporate a little bit of wellness into my day.
· Hydrate – Water. Water. Water. It’s the simplest thing you can do for your health. It’s the first thing I drink in the morning, every day. I have room temperature water, on an empty stomach, and then another glass of water and probiotics (I like Garden of Life probiotics) before I eat anything. Then, I try to have at least 8 glasses a day. I also track how much water I drink. Why? Water:
o Promotes Healthy Weight Management and Weight Loss
o Flush Out Toxins
o Improves Your Complexions
o Maintains Regularity
o Think it’s boring? Add some lemon!
· Vitamin C serum – Holy dewyness. packed with powerful antioxidants, this is my can’t live without skincare product. Vitamin C serum visibly reduces the appearance of dark spots and wrinkles after applying regularly. It is anti-aging, helps with plumpness and protects against sun damage. I use drunk elephant. It’s a little pricer, but I’ve noticed such a different in my skin, and application of my makeup.
· Write a to do list – as soon as I get into the office, I write a to do list. It focuses me for the day. I make a personal list, a few things I want to make sure I get done in the a.m., and after work and then I write down everything I have to do for work – calls, meetings, materials (I’m in healthcare PR, it’s a lot of writing!). It helps me manage my time, and when I feel organized, I’m less stressed. And, it is so satisfying to cross things of my list!
· GG crackers/fiber snacks – I follow the F-Factor diet and need certain amounts of fiber per day. 35 g of fiber – to be exact! Fiber helps you feel full and is essential for digestive health. And after years of significant bloating, I can’t live without my fiber snacks. GG crackers and a fiber/protein bar (raw rev ARE MY FAVE) – are always in my bag.
