Tips for working out while traveling

Whether you're traveling for business or pleasure, sometimes the last thing you want to do is fit in a work out - believe me, I get it. More times than not, I just give myself a pass - if I fit it in, great, if not, I tried not to worry. While I often still follow this similar mentality, I have been traveling every week this month, YEP, so I decided I needed to figure out a way to get some movement in. Here are a few tips that have been working for me.

- Pack workout clothes. This seems obvious, but having clothes on hand makes it that much easier for me to workout, and often a reminder for me to get moving if I have not already.

- Explore. There is no better way to get moving than to explore the area you are in. Put your shoes on and go for a walk around - even if it's just for 20 minutes.

- Most hotels have a gym inside, most recently I just did 20 minutes on a Peloton and called it a day. While it's not much, it's something,

- Stream a workout in your hotel room - there are so many free workouts on YouTube, Instagram, etc. Give it a whirl!

- Take the stairs instead of the elevator. This will totally depend on what floor you're on, but you can even consider taking the elevator to the third or fourth or fifth (you go girl), floor and walking down from there.

Do you try to fit in a workout in when you travel? If so, what are some of your tips?

Be well xx
