Meet Marissa Meshulam of MPM Nutrition

Tired of all of the confusion on health and wellness? Sick of hopping on and off fad diets? Meet Marissa Meshulam a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who can help you take action.

Instead of categorizing foods as “good” or “bad” and spending time talking about foods we shouldn’t eat, Marissa works with her clients to help them eat more real, whole foods that fit their preferences.

Marissa shares more about her food philosophy, the one wellness product she can’t live without and tips for staying at peace during this time below. Be sure to check out her site https://www.mpmnutrition.com/ and Instagram for tips and beautiful food inspo like the salad below. Insert drool emoji here.

1. Love your food philosophy! Could you share more about it with my followers and how we can honor it during this time?

Life is complicated, food does not have to be. I help teach people how to listen to their bodies and ultimately encourage them to eat foods that make them FEEL their best. Usually that's veggies, sometimes it is ice cream. Both are okay :)  A healthy relationship with food and your body is key.

2. What have you been doing to stay at peace during this uneasy time?

I’ve been trying to think about the bigger picture and remembering even if things feel out of whack right now, there is a lot to be grateful for.

3. What is your morning routine?

COFFEE (iced cappuccino) and try my best to avoid my phone for at least 30 minutes. Social media in the morning does not start your day off on a good note in my opinion.

4. What is your go-to healthy snack and/or meal?

Snack wise, carrot sticks or Beanfields chips with kite hill french onion dip has been on repeat for me during quarantine. For a meal, I am always making something with a good jar of marinara sauce.

5. Favorite way to connect with friends and loved ones?

Quality time.

6. What do you do if you are feeling stressed/overwhelmed during this time?

Get off my phone and go for a walk.

7. What is your favorite way to sweat while at home?

I am usually an avid reformer Pilates lover, so I am missing that right now. Walking has been my go to, I luckily live in NYC where I can spend hours wandering about and not get bored. For some strength, I love Melissa Wood Health power flows. She has lots of quick workouts that can be done anywhere! Also, if I feeling lazy but just want to do something quick, 8 minute abs is an oldie but a goodie.

8. What is your quarantine go-to drink?

Non-alcoholic, finally started making my own matcha latte which I love! Alcohol wise, tequila with grapefruit Spindrift has become a favorite.

9. What is one wellness product you can't live without?

Coconut oil! And not for my food, but for my body. Makes the absolute best moisturizer. I even use it in my hair as a mask!

10. What are a few things you are looking forward to once this is all over?

Seeing my family and an overpriced, boozy meal with my friends.

12. What are you grateful for?

My health, my families’ health and access to food.

13. What book, show or podcast would you recommend?

  • Book: The Nightingale

  • Show: Madmen

  • Podcast: Modern Love

14. Favorite music to listen to?

John Mayer or the Goo Goo Dolls

15. What is one piece of advice for people who are having a hard time right now?

One day at a time. This too shall pass.

16. Go-to lounge wear/WFH outfit?

I am a weirdo who prefers to work from home in jeans. Something about getting dressed makes me more productive. Levi's and Reformation are my favorites.

17. Is there anything else you want our followers to know about you or MPM Nutrition at this time?

Healthy living looks different for every person. I aim to help people get in touch with what a healthy lifestyle looks like for them!
